What our clients say

  • Local Government Professionals WA

Sarah, as a practitioner herself, really understood the valuable work delivered by community development professionals. During the training co-design process, she connected with stakeholders at a deep level to ensure the training program's content reflected the sector's needs. Sarah was methodical and flexible in her approach, and her facilitation style was collaborative and always aimed to enhance participants' skill sets by leveraging the collective wisdom of the group, in addition to her strong practical experience in the field.

  • Mercy Care

Sarah brings people together and sees the connections and synergies between organisations and institutions. She can take ideas and content and weave them together to turn a concept into something tangible.

Sarah's approach is collaborative and open. We valued the flexibility she gave us on this project, but most importantly, we valued her innovation in helping us design it.

Sarah also used her skills to connect us with new people and organisations, and that was of great benefit to the project. The breadth and depth of local community sector knowledge Sarah brings to the work we do with her, as well as her creativity and ability to distill our ideas and turn them into something great, are greatly valued.

Sarah is committed and professional. Her experience in community services brings huge value to the quality of work that she produces.

  • Anglicare WA

Sarah's ability to design a training program that was both relevant to our diverse service delivery context and aligned with our strategic vision resulted in lasting, transformative outcomes for our organisation. There is no doubt that services across our organisation are now using the learnings from the training program to capitalise on opportunities to work with the community in new and innovative ways.

  • Young Australia League (YAL)

Our outcomes framework was always a high priority for us, and while we had fragmented pieces of the project, we hadn't had the time, expertise, or personnel to pull it together. With Sarah's guidance, we have now achieved a critical part of our business goals.

Sarah took all of our ideas and brought them to life in a way that exceeded our expectations. Her creativity and attention to detail transformed our concepts into reality.

  • City of Melville

Sarah's approach to delivering the service was excellent. Sarah was flexible, personable, and efficient, and we always felt we were on the same page.

  • City of Rockingham

We valued Sarah's attentiveness, clear communication, professionalism, flexibility, high-quality work, and her understanding of the environment in which this project and report were to be utilised. We also very much appreciated the ability to pivot the project and work with us to achieve the end goal.

Sarah provided excellent, impartial community consultation to inform the development of the report, quality data analysis, and the report itself, with suggestions for improvements we could make. The addition of the visual summary has been an exceptional element, providing significant value to internal stakeholders and, no doubt, the wider community.

  • Mirrabooka District Leadership Group

Sarah has great skills in facilitation and utilises a range of contemporary tools to achieve outcomes. She has developed strategic plans, outcome-based implementation plans, and business cases. Sarah specialises in understanding and responding to the unique needs of our diverse communities.

  • Befriend Inc.

Lots to like about Janali & Co!

The warm working relationship, the collaborative style, Sarah's deep respect for the uniqueness of our organisation, her generosity in pursuing other avenues for accessing vital information, and her strength in synthesising and presenting information in clear and helpful ways.

Working with Sarah helped us gain more clarity and understanding of the complex situation that we're in. This new level of understanding gives us a stronger ground from which to embark upon the next stage of development work, in order to realise more effective and resilient ways of working with community.

  • City of Canning

We valued the presentation content and the useful tips provided. The complex topic was delivered in a simple yet comprehensive manner, with a good delivery style. The presentation was very suited for the diverse communities, where many do not understand how grants work, and language could be a barrier, plus some don’t understand the ‘rules of the game.’

  • Perth Caribbean Association

Janali and Co. provided value to our Association by giving direction on how to begin our grant application and how to ensure we prepare a strong one. We particularly valued the practice sheet.

  • Welcoming Australia

Sarah is knowledgeable and genuine, and both understands and is well-regarded in the Local Government and community sectors in WA. Our session with Janali and Co. helped us grow our reach and deepen the impact of our work with Local Government and communities in Western Australia.

  • City of Subiaco

We greatly valued Janali & Co.’s high level of expertise in social planning. The team was flexible with timeframes and project methodology, demonstrating a deep understanding of local government processes as well as strong skills in data research and analysis. We particularly appreciated how effectively they translated complex research and engagement findings into clear, accessible, easy-to-understand language for workshops, presentations, and final reports.

Janali & Co. supported the review of our community needs and services, with findings that will inform our local government programming, projects, and resourcing.

  • City of Fremantle

Janali & Co. provided a comprehensive report that the City can provide to the Department of Communities as part of our grant acquittal. The report answered all the questions we asked and can be used for future advocacy in the homelessness area.

Due to limited data, Sam and Sarah conducted more stakeholder interviews than originally requested. It was great that you went the extra mile to ensure there could be stronger analysis of the project.

  • City of Wanneroo

Sarah and the team were very easy to deal with; they responded to emails quickly and met deadlines on time. They met our tight deadlines and remained within our restricted budget parameters. The research report was detailed and contained clear recommendations. The communication was wonderful with the fortnightly catch-ups.

The research will contribute to the City's strategic direction in the homelessness space.

  • City of Mandurah

The service consulted on and developed a new Homelessness Action Plan - City of Mandurah - Shared Approach to Ending Homelessness Action Plan 2025-2027.

The service ensured a broad range of consultation was conducted in developing this, including stakeholders, volunteer services, businesses, internal staff, and, most importantly, those with lived experience of homelessness. This ensured that the final plan captured the views, voices, suggestions, and commitment from those in the homelessness space. All communication and organisation with the service was highly professional, timely, and efficient. This allowed the plan to be developed within the time frame that was initially laid out.

We particularly valued the efficiency of delivering within a given timeframe and timely response to all communications. The willingness to be flexible at short notice when needed. The humanistic approach and background knowledge in the area of homelessness and Local Government that the service has.

  • People Helping People

People Helping People currently runs many community events and programs. We want to provide more, and having access to grant funding will allow us to expand our events and programs.

Sarah addressed not just the basics of grant applications but also more complex questions. The session was tailored to our specific needs. Sarah took time to answer all the attendees' questions; nothing was rushed.

Sarah also highlighted important, overlooked details about grant writing.
