Susanna Wills-Johnson (Suze) has over 20 years of experience in communications and engagement experience, gained at small medium, and large organisations. Her roles have primarily been in the corporate marketing, strategic communications and reputational management context for non-profit education providers. Suze’s most rewarding experiences have involved working on start-up initiatives, learning about and engaging with new communities, and helping established organisations navigate periods of uncertainty.

More recently, Suze has worked part-time in a communications and research role with WACSSO, an advocacy and representative body for public school parents. In this role, Suze provides the organisation and its members with specialised communications advice while also contributing to advocacy work, including position papers and government submissions. Suze balances her role at WACSSO with running her own consulting business, which provides communications and business strategy advice to clients in health, education, sport, and community contexts.

Suze is at her best and happiest when working in a values-aligned environment, solving a complex organisational problem, or launching a new initiative; she joined the Janali & Co. team in 2024.

Classically trained in philosophy and with a Master’s in Business Leadership from Curtin University, Suze brings theoretical knowledge and practical skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, ethics, communications, community engagement, marketing, leadership, and cultural diversity to her work.
