MercyCare
MercyCare is a large non-profit organisation, committed to supporting people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds as they settle successfully and live meaningful and valued lives, where they can contribute to and feel part of the fabric of Western Australia. This support is central to MercyCare’s vision for people and communities to thrive. They provide settlement services across multicultural family services, multicultural employment services, multicultural women services, and much more.
In 2023 MercyCare engaged Janali & Co. to support the development of a service model and preparation of a tender for the delivery of Settlement Engagement and Transition Support Services. With expertise in place-based community development approaches and multicultural planning, Janali & Co. brought unique skills, knowledge, and relationships to support a successful submission for funding to continue delivering valuable support for new migrants.
To support MercyCare with this project we:
Co-created and documented a service model underpinned by a program logic that articulated outcomes, outputs, activities, and the resources required to deliver the services
Facilitated the visioning and development of an innovative partnership model to facilitate a place-based delivery of services drawing on our extensive networks and relationships within the local government sector
Collaborated with the MercyCare team to prepare the tender submission, identifying supporting research, and evidence, and documenting the model

“Sarah's approach is collaborative and open. I like the flexibility she gave us in this project but most importantly I valued her being innovative in assisting us to design the project. Sarah used her skills to connect us with new people and organizations and that was of great benefit to the project.”
